Virginia Beach, Va - Hundreds of surfers gathered at the Oceanfront this weekend to compete in the Steel Pier Classic.
The annual competition is organized by the Virginia Longboard Federation. This is the largest longboard event on the east coast.
Other events that took place at the Steel Pier Classic included tandem and stand up paddle boarding.
Local artists also set up on the boardwalk to display their surf art for the Surf Art Expo.
