Newport News, Va. – A Hampton woman is in the hospital after being hit by a car Friday night.
Police say a 16-year-old driver hit the woman on Jefferson Ave. near Sam Walton Way around 10 p.m.
According to police, the 43-year-old woman had been drinking and darted across the street.
She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The teen is not facing any charges.
