Northampton Co., Va. – A man was killed Friday night when he was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking across the road.
According to state police, Earl W. Spady, 55, of Cape Charles, Va. was crossing Route 13 when he walked into the path of the tractor-trailer.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 184.
The driver was unable to stop in time and hit Spady. He died at the scene.
No charges have been filed. The crash is still under investigation.
