A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for East central Chesapeake, Southern Virginia Beach, and North central Currituck County in NE N. Carolina until 6:00 p.m.
The National Weather Service Doppler Radar has indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
