Virginia Beach, Va. - The bear hit by a car this morning in Virginia Beach has been put down, according to Animal Control.
The 250-pound male bear sustained massive head injuries.
This happened around 3 a.m. on Oceana Boulevard just north of the entrance to NAS Oceana.
We're told the driver was not hurt in the crash.
