Two teens charged for stealing handgun in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – Two people have been charged after a handgun was stolen from a home in Newport News.

On June 5, 2014, police received a report of a handgun having been stolen from a home in the 200 block of Clipper Drive sometime on June 1 or June 2, 2014.

Police arrested two suspects, one of which had legal access to the home and the recovery of the stolen firearm.

Ryan Connor Webster, 18, of the 200 block of Clipper Drive, was charged with one count each of grand larceny, possession of stolen property with the intent to sell, and felony child neglect.

A 14-year-old Newport News boy was charged with one count each of possession of stolen property and underage possession of a firearm.
