Brush fire in Suffolk burned 25 acres

Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Fire & Rescue and Suffolk Police received a call at 3:25 pm reporting a brush fire in the 5800 block of O’Kelly Drive in the rural Holland area.

The fire originated in a wheat field and about 25 acres of land were burned.

An issue with a combine that was working in the field caused the fire.

The blaze was under control at 4:09 pm.

Numerous units responded and luckily there were no injuries.
