UPDATE: The body found behind a Portsmouth shopping center has been identified as Kenneth W. Beacham. Medics pronounced him dead on June 30th. Police say Beacham did not have a current address and his death is not considered suspicious.
Portsmouth, Va. – A man’s body was found behind a shopping center in the 1900 block of Victory Blvd. around 9:15 a.m. Monday morning, police tell NewsChannel 3.
Police do not know if this was a natural death or not; they are waiting on an answer from the medical examiner.
It does not appear that any foul play was involved, police say.
The scene has been cleared.
