We all know the nursery rhyme, and over the weekend it rang true at Salem, Oregon’s Enchanted Forest.
Humpty Dumpty literally fell off a wall and had a great fall, smashing into many pieces.
The Enchanted Forest is an amusement park with attractions inspired by fairy tales and nursery rhymes. The cement Humpty Dumpty statue sat on a wall in the park since the park’s opening in 1970.
According the park’s Facebook page, witnesses say two adult men climbed up onto the wall with Humpty and accidentally pulled both Humpty and the wall down.
The good news is that all the king’s horses and all the king’s men won’t be necessary to put Humpty together again.
The statue’s original artist, 84-year-old Roger Tofte, will try to make another to replace the broken one.
According to KOIN 6 News, the two men who knocked Humpty down offered to pay for the repairs.
