A line of severe storms moved through Hampton Roads on Wednesday evening. Afterward, Norfolk dispatch reported trees had fallen onto power lines.
They say several areas have been affected by this severe weather. At one point over 4,000 customers were without power around the city of Norfolk.
There were over 1,000 customers out in Virginia Beach and several other areas were also experiencing power outages.
Crews have since then significantly decreased these numbers.
