On Thursday, severe weather caused power outages, widespread damage, and flooding all throughout the area, especially the city of Virginia Beach.

One man says he's lucky to be alive after his car was picked up and tossed into a church's front lawn.

He says he suffered only a bump on his head.

A transformer and the church's steeple were also damaged after dangerous wind, or what some say may have been a tornado, blew through this area of the city.
