Man wanted for stealing trash bags full of groceries from Family Dollar

Newport News, Va. – Newport News police need your help to find a man who they say stole items from the Family Dollar store last month.

This happened on Monday, June 23rd at around 8:30 p.m.

They say a man wearing a red hat, black shirt and jean shorts walked into the Family Dollar store on Warwick Boulevard and opened up a box of bags inside of the store.

Police say the man then took the stolen bags and used them to fill up two bags full of grocery items before leaving the store without paying for them.
