Newport News, Va. – A teenager had to be taken to the hospital after he was shot twice in Newport News on Monday night.
The 17-year-old was walking with his 15-year-old sister going southbound on Warwick Blvd. This is near the intersection of Colony Road.
While they were walking, he told his sister he heard gunshots. He then realized he was hit.
They ran to a nearby car wash and someone called for help.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He was hit in his right arm and lower back.
No information about a suspect has been released yet.
