Newport News, Va. - A suspicious death in the 100 block of Ash Avenue is now being investigated as a homicide.
At 8:16 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, Newport News police received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Ash Avenue.
Officers arrived at 8:23 a.m. and found the body of a 36-year-old Hampton man in the front seat of the vehicle.
James Arthur Miller, Jr., of the 400 block of Greenbriar Avenue in Hampton, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Residents called police after noticing the vehicle, a silver sedan, parked on the street.
This case is now being investigated as a homicide.
