A Norfolk Police Detective has been placed on administrative duty after being charged for soliciting a prostitute.
Norfolk Police confirm that 49-year-old Alan Lawson will remain on administrative duty pending the results of the internal investigation.
Court records show Lawson was charged with the misdemeanor on July 10th. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 11th.
His previous assignment was with the Investigative Services Bureau.
