Newport News Police say officers were dispatched to the 13200 block of Aqueduct Avenue just after 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon in reference to gunshots heard in the area.
Police say officers arrived and were arrived that a black female in her 40’s had a very minor injury to her foot. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.
It is unknown at this time if she was struck by a bullet.
The incident remains under investigation. There is no suspect information or description available.
