Police investigating stabbing at Norfolk U-Haul

Norfolk, Va. – A person was stabbed multiple times Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a Norfolk U-Haul location.

According to Cpl. Melinda Wray with the Norfolk Police Dept., officers were sent to 1301 Monticello Ave. around 4:10 p.m after being told there was a person there with a weapon.

While officers were on the way, the call was updated to a stabbing.  According to Wray, the victim was stabbed multiple times in the U-Haul parking lot.

The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police do not have a suspect.
