The season’s second tropical depression has formed in the Atlantic, but is unlikely to strengthen.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts.

As of 5pm the center was located near latitude 11.6 North and longitude 43.8 west. The storm is moving west at 16 mph.

Little change is forecast in the next 48 hours and the depression is expected to weaken to a remnant low by Thursday.
