Norfolk, Va. – A gas leak was reported in the 1800 block of Parkview Avenue in Norfolk on Tuesday morning.
Contractors struck a gas line while digging, causing the leak. Norfolk Fire-Rescue received the call at 9:02 a.m. and units were on scene at 9:06 a.m.
Virginia Natural Gas responded to the scene and were able to secure the leak around noon.
Roads have reopened to all traffic.
