UPDATE: Power was restored to all customers at 11:26 a.m.
Virginia Beach, Va. – An equipment failure has been reported at General Booth Blvd. and Dam Neck Road in Virginia Beach.
The call came in at 10:26 a.m. Approximately 6,500 people are without power at this time.
Crews are on the scene.
Traffic lights are out in the Dam Neck corridor.
Parts of Oceana are without power as well, officials say.
Crews expect repairs to be completed by 1:00 p.m.
