A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Northeast North Carolina, Isle of Wight County and Southampton until 11 p.m.
This includes Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Northampton, Pasquotank, and Perquimans and all of Hampton Roads.
