Norfolk, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times on Scott Street early Monday morning.
The Norfolk Emergency Operations Center received a call about the shooting in the 900 block of Scott Street shortly after 5:20am.
The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by Norfolk Fire & Rescue. The victim's injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
Police do not have any suspect information at this time.
They spent hours Monday morning blocking Scott Street as they collected evidence and spoke with neighbors to try and find out what led to the shooting and identify the person who pulled the trigger.
"It's frightening. You don't know who you're going to walk up on. I think you have to be aware of yourself out here," says neighbor Milton Holloway.
