Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk crews knocked down flames at an outbuilding of Village Christian Fellowship Church on Wednesday night.
A person passing by the building on Bridge Road called for help at 8:07 p.m.
Units arrived just minutes later.
When they got there, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the building. No one was inside at the time. This building is used for classrooms and storage for the church.
They declared the fire under control by 8:40 p.m.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
