Pizza Hut robbed on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – A Pizza Hut restaurant was robbed over the weekend in Newport News.

On August 2, 2014, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded to a Pizza Hut restaurant located at 10744 Jefferson Avenue in reference to a robbery.

The victims told police that a male entered the business wearing a ski mask, dark jeans, and a dark shirt and ordered them to open the safe. The suspect then led them to the back of the store. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, police say.

The investigation is ongoing.
