UPDATE: Virginia Beach EMS confirms the man who was pulled out of a backyard pool by family members was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police have not released his name at this time.
Virginia Beach Police are responding to a possible drowning in the 3200 block of Doncaster Road.
Police say a call came in at 2:30 p.m. reporting an adult male in cardiac arrest after he was found in a pool, unconscious and not breathing.
The man was pulled from the pool by a family member. He is still alive and has been transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital.
No additional details were immediately available.
