Norfolk Police say two men were arrested late Tuesday night after a robbery in the 900 block of Spotswood Avenue.
Police say the victim told them that a man had approached him, displayed a gun and demanded money. He then fled from the scene.
When police arrived, they spotted a man getting into a vehicle on 21st Street. When they attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver attempted to elude the officer.
The vehicle was finally stopped in the 3300 block of Gosnold Avenue and the driver and suspect fled on foot.
Both were caught and detained after a brief foot chase.
They have been identified as 22-year-old Mark A. Holmes and 26-year-old Maurice O. Johnson. They have both been charged with one count each of Robbery and Use of a Firearm. Maurice was arrested for an outstanding Norfolk warrant for Felony Probation Violation. Both are currently in the Norfolk City Jail, held with no bond.
