Newport News, Va. – Newport News police have arrested a man wanted for robbing a man of his gun in July.

Police say 23-year-old Terrell Dijon Bryant made arrangements to meet a Chesapeake man in the 5200 block of Arlington Avenue in order to buy a handgun and some ammunition.

Bryant asked the man for a ride to the bank to get money for the deal, then pulled a gun of his own and robbed the seller of his gun and ammunition while they were in the area of 25th Street and Hickory Avenue, according to police.

Bryant was arrested on outstanding warrants for robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony on Wednesday. He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon after police found a handgun on him during the arrest.
