Route 13 southbound in Accomack County will remain closed until at least 5:00 p.m. after a tractor-trailer crash early Monday morning.
According to Virginia State Police, the tractor trailer ran off the road and overturned in the median.
The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. They say fatigue was a factor in the crash.
The tractor-trailer was carrying a load of car batteries. Several of the pallets of batteries were damaged in the crash and HAZMAT teams have responded to assist.
Traffic is being re-routed.
