VIDEO: Man wanted in Hampton 7-Eleven robbery

Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are searching for a suspect wanted for robbing a business.

It happened on August 27, 2014. At 2:13 a.m., Hampton Police responded to the 7-Eleven located in the 800 block of East Little Back River Road in reference to a robbery from business complaint.

Police say the suspect entered the business, displayed a knife, and demanded money.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran away from the business westbound on East Little Back River Road.

When the robbery occurred, there were no patrons inside and there were no injuries, police say.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, 6’0”, approximately 230 pounds, and in his mid twenties with a full beard and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a long sleeved red shirt underneath.

Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting “HAMPTONPDTIPS plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
