Manns Harbor, N.C. – A North Carolina man has been charged with sex offense against a child under 13, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
On August 25, 2014, Dare County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the Manns Harbor community to investigate a report of a sex offense against a child.
Deputies met with the mother of the child, and called for the Criminal Investigative Division to respond, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard of Dare County.
An investigation was conducted and authorities have arrested 45-year-old Jessie Cecil Twiddy of Manns Harbor.
Twiddy is charged with First Degree Sex Offense on a Child under 13. He was committed to the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bond.
