Norfolk woman accused of stabbing man during fight

Norfolk, Va. – A 52-year-old Norfolk woman is now behind bars after police say she stabbed a man during an altercation on Friday morning.

The woman has been identified as Cynthia J. Butts of the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Norfolk.

Police say just before 10 a.m., a 60-year-old man walked into Sentara Norfolk General suffering from a stab wound and several cuts. He was treated for his injuries and police began investigating.

Butts has now been charged with malicious wounding and is being held without bond at the Norfolk City Jail.
