Hatteras, N.C. – An Avon woman has been charged with seven counts of larceny in Hatteras, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard of Dare County.
On May 1, 2014, The Dare Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding an employee theft at a store in Hatteras.
Deputies responded, and after interviewing store employees, initiated an investigation into the report.
The investigation resulted in a submission to the Dare County Grand Jury, who returned bills of indictment against an Avon resident.
The suspect, 21-year-old Jasmine Shada Downing of Avon, was arrested on August 26, 2014.
Downing is charged with seven counts of Larceny by Employee (Felony). She was released from jail on a $3,000 bond.
