Norfolk police looking for two men who tried to rob cab driver

Norfolk, Va. - Police are looking for two men wanted for trying to rob a cab driver, then shooting at the taxi, police tell NewsChannel 3.

Last night around 11:40 p.m., a call came into police for an attempted robbery to a cab driver in the 300 block of E. Little Creek Road.

The cab driver told police he was responding to a call for a fare, when two unknown black males approached his car.

One of the males broke the driver side window, police say, and the cab driver was able to drive away in his vehicle.

The suspects then fired gunshots at the fleeing vehicle.

The cab driver received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the shattered glass.

The first suspect is described as being approximately 5’10”, athletic build, with shoulder length dreads, wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, and a white cloth over this face.

The second suspect is described as being approximately 5’7”, tall with a stocky build, dark ball cap, wearing a white t-shirt, and dark pants.

Detectives are currently investigating this incident.
