Hampton man charged with sex crimes against a child

Hampton, Va. – A Hampton man has been charged with forcible sodomy and indecent liberties with a child, police tell NewsChannel 3.

Police arrested 25-year-old Terry Curtis Sigler of the 200 block of E. Sewell Avenue.

Sigler was arrested on August 31, 2014. He is charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery, one count of Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child, and one count of Forcible Sodomy.

Sigler is currently in the custody of the Hampton Sheriff’s Office, police say. He was arrested in connection with alleged sexual offenses involving a 6-year-old Gloucester girl who is known to him.

The alleged offenses took place at a home in the Chesapeake side of the city.

Police say the complaint originated in May 2014. Over the course of the investigation, police say warrants were obtained on August 21.
