Norfolk, Va. – A man was arrested over the weekend and charged with malicious wounding in Norfolk, police tell NewsChannel 3.
On September 7, 2014 around 7:00 p.m., police received a call regarding an assault in progress in the 6600 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue crews responded and found a man suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound, police say.
The victim declined medical treatment on scene. The suspect was seen by police a few blocks away and immediately detained.
The suspect has been identified as 61-year-old Socrate A. Zurita. He has been charged with malicious wounding.
