Norfolk, Va. – A driver has been charged after a crash with injuries in Norfolk.
On Thursday, September 11 shortly before 10:00 a.m., Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue crews responded to the intersection of Tazewell Street and Boush Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident; a black Toyota sedan and a blue Kia sedan.
Police say the driver of the Kia was following too closely and rear-ended the Toyota. Both drivers were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Kia has been charged with several traffic violations, including Following Too Closely, Expired State Inspection Sticker, and Driving with Improper Tire Tread Depth.
First Responders have since cleared the intersection of debris and all lanes are now open for normal traffic patterns.
