Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said Monday that the MRI exam done on his left ankle after Sunday’s injury showed no fractures, according to the Washington Post.
Griffin says that was “positive news.” It is believed that he will be able to avoid surgery but he says he doesn’t know yet how long he’ll be out.
Griffin’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Robert Anderson, will review the MRI results later Monday afternoon and is expected to have more info by the time Coach Jay Gruden holds his press conference at 3:00 p.m.
