A man in southern Indiana is charged with cannibalism, according to a report from WGN-TV.

It happened in Jeffersonville, just across the river from Louisville, Kentucky.

Police say 33-year-old Joseph Oberhansley broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend, Tammy Jo Blanton, and stabbed her to death.

Then he cut out her brains, heart and lungs, and cooked and ate them, according to police.

Police say they found blood and bones on a plate, the report says.
