The White House was evacuated Friday night due to a major breach in security.
Minutes after President Barack Obama and his daughters boarded a helicopter to leave the White House, an intruder jumped the fence of the executive mansion.
Secret Service agents immediately evacuated White House employees from the West Wing.
According to CBS affiliate WNEW, the evacuation was lifted at 8 pm, as the suspect was detained.
The area remains closed to pedestrian traffic.
