Virginia Beach, Va. – The wait is now over and the Nimmo Parkway extension has finally been completed. What does that mean for Virginia Beach residents?

Free events, that’s what.

On September 27th, join the Princess Anne Area Library and the Princess Anne Community Recreation Center for connections to fitness, learning, recreation, and leisure.

Now that construction is done, access to these facilities is much more convenient and aims to bring enjoyment for people of all ages.

Staring at 9 a.m., enjoy complimentary coffee and snacks at the PA Recreation Center Lobby. Free tours of the facility will also be given.

If you’re looking for some  fast-paced physical activity, Badminton and Zumba will  begin at  approximately 9 a.m.

For the younger generation, Storytime “Diggers, Doxers and Dumptrucks” will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the PA Library storytime room. At 12 p.m., carnival style games will be held in between the library and recreational center.

After working up an appetite, ice cream and cake will be available in the rec center gym from 2-4 p.m.

Also from 2-4 p.m., swimming and volleyball will take place in the rec center. Underage children must be accompanied by adults in these activities.

All events are free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. Simply visit the Princess Anne Library and Princess Anne Recreation Center at 1400 & 1444 Nimmo Parkway Virginia Beach, VA 23454 to join in on the fun!
