Chesapeake, Va. – A motorcyclist was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries early Saturday morning after crashing while fleeing police.
The motorcyclist was initially observed by police traveling recklessly with several other vehicles and was stopped in the area of South Battlefield and Hawk Blvd, then fled traveling south, according to police.
Police broke off the chase, and other units heading north found the biker after the crash.
Accident investigators are currently on the scene.
