Arrest made after stolen vehicle pursuit in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk Police have arrested a man who allegedly stole a vehicle and led officers on a pursuit on Sunday, September 28th.

Police say they spotted a white Ford Mustang that had been reported stolen Sunday morning from the 100 block of West 28th Street.

As officers turned on their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle in the 3800 block of Granby Street, the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed.

Officers called off the pursuit due to the dangerous actions of the driver.

A short time later, police located the vehicle in the 100 block of East Arden Circle.

Police K9 officers were able to track the suspect and he was located 20-year-old Rodney Marshall hiding behind a house.

He was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of Forged Coin or Bank Notes, Eluding Police, Driving while Suspended (3rd Offense), and Driving the Wrong Way Down a One Way Street.
