York County, Va. – A teen girl has been charged with cruelty to animals after authorities say she killed a classroom pet.
On September 19, 2014, a 17-year-old girl, who is a student at Grafton High School, allegedly became upset and killed the classroom pet gerbil, according to
Lt. Dennis Ivey of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
The teen has been charged with cruelty to animals, Lt. Ivey says.
