Elizabeth City, N.C. – Police are investigating after a woman was found dead on her rear deck at home in Elizabeth City.
On October 5, 2014 at 6:35 p.m., Elizabeth City Police responded to 144 Ranch Drive in reference to a death investigation.
Once on scene, Officers found 77-year-old Peggy Lou Regel on her rear deck, suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators and crime scene personnel were called out to the scene. An investigation continues, police say.
