Newport News, Va. – A fire was reported at a business in Newport News on Tuesday.
Crews responded to the 4800 block of Mercantile Drive. The call came in at 8:26 a.m.
A small piece of equipment caught fire at Maritime Technical Services Group.
Firefighters are in the process of letting the tank burn out. This is most likely a “manufacturer malfunction”, according to a firefighter on scene.
No injuries have been reported. No damage has been done to the inside of the business.
