Chesapeake, Va. – Chesapeake Police say a man has died at the hospital after a shooting that occurred Thursday, October 9th.
Police received calls about shots fired at around 9:50 p.m. in the 3100 block of Fairview Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man who was in the walkway with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hosptial with life-threatening injuries.
The man, identified as 24-year-old Dennis Coleman, died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
Suspect information is still unknown at this time. The case remains under investigation.
