Portsmouth, Va. – A man had to be taken to the hospital after he was shot in the leg in Portsmouth on Thursday night.
Police tell NewsChannel 3 this happened at Race Street and Prentis Avenue.
They say someone called them about the incident at 7:13 p.m. They were told a man had been shot.
When police arrived, they found the man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening police say.
