Elizabeth City, N.C. – A man was shot to death on an Elizabeth City street early Sunday morning.
38-year-old Willie James Jr. was shot around 5:45 am at 311 Harney Street. James ran to a residence on Maple Street where he was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
He was transported to Albemarle Hospital then transferred to Norfolk Sentara by Nightingale, where he succumbed to his injuries.
