Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue are investigating a two vehicle accident that occurred around 7:15 a.m. in the 4400 block of Bridge Road and the intersection of Townpoint Road.
The accident involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle. The cause is still under investigation.
The motorcyclist, a woman, was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of what are believed to be serious injuries.
Police are alternating traffic on Bridge Road, which may cause some congestion.
