Hampton, Va. – A 33-year-old Hampton man was arrested by Hampton SWAT team members after a standoff early Sunday morning.
The SWAT team and negotiators were dispatched to the 600 block of Shields Ave. at approx 5:58 am, according to police.
The investigation revealed that Jason Wallace Williams had been previously engaged in a domestic altercation and had fired a gun inside.
The SWAT team quickly took Williams into custody at approximately 7:15 am.
Williams is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, one count of brandishing a firearm and one count of assault on family member (domestic related).
